A/V+아/어 가지고 ~ Because/Since A/V, Having Done A/V

We can use the construction A/V+아/어 가지고 to express that something occurs because or since A/V. It may be contracted to 아/어 갖고 and can be used in the place of V+아/어/여서 when providing a reason or cause.

Examples
바빠 가지고 지금 갈 수 없어요.
Because I am busy I can not go.

불어를 공부해 가지고 프랑스에 살고 싶어요.
After studying French I want to live in France.

  1. I have been informed that your last sample sentence is incorrect… since 운전을 조심하세요 is a command, you must use 오니까… 와서 and 와 가지고 cannot be used in this case…
