V+아/어/여도 ~ even if, even though

V+아/어/여도 is used  to say ‘even if V’ or ‘even though V’. It is similar to the conjunction 그래도 (nonetheless, however, anyway), but can be used to link sentences together.

Examples
바빠도 한국말을 공부해요
Even though I’m busy, I study Korean

공부를 많이 해도, 시험을 잘 못 봤어요
Even though I studied a lot, I didn’t do well on the test
