Family in Korean Part II: Paternal and Maternal Relatives

If you thought immediate family names in Korean were complicated, you haven’t seen nothing yet!
Here’s a guide to relatives on the paternal side of the family:

조부모: grandparents
할아버지: paternal grandfather
할머니: paternal grandmother
삼촌: paternal uncle
고모: paternal aunt
고모부: paternal aunt’s husband

And on the maternal side:

외할아버지: maternal grandfather
외할머니: maternal grandmother
이모: maternal aunt
이모부: maternal aunt’s husband
외삼촌: maternal uncle
